| History | The launch of the European Freeski Open in 2006 immediately attracted the world‘s best freeskiers. In the following years 2007 to 2009 the event established its leading role on the European continent, a must for top riders from all over the world. For the fifth time in a row the season highlight of European freeski sport will take part from March 3 - 6, 2010 in LAAX, Switzerland. |

| Format | The headjudge at the European Freeski Open by Swatch 2010 is Rafael Regazzoni from France, the six scoring judges are Simon Tjernstrom (SWE), Jussi Saarinen (FIN), Skye Darden (USA), Simon Abt (GER), Christoph Thaler (AUT) and Mickael Deschenaux (SUI). The three judging criterias in Slopestyle and Halfpipe are amplitude, counting again more in the pipe discipline, then technicity, which means the difficulty of the tricks and grabs, and finally execution, which includes style, fluidity, grabs and landing. Also innovation will be factured in the judgement. The maximum score to deliver are 100 points, which never happened until now in any contest. The contest format is two runs, with the best one counting. |
